Your desk. Your task. A little company.
For the person who works alone with a document, a book or a set of notes, a session can start with less to manage.
Prepare a place for one piece of work.
Open the document or lay out the book before starting. Name the next action in a few words. You do not need to design a full daily routine just to begin this round.
For a writing session, open the draft, keep only the reference you need beside it and put unrelated tabs away. Write a specific next step such as “explain the first example” before starting.
Let the company stay in the background.
Place your phone beside your computer, book or notes. Your cat keeps quiet company while you work, with a little response after you finish.
After an interruption, choose the next small step.
In companion mode, an early end does not send the cat away. If you deliberately choose commitment, read its different rules first. A day away does not erase your past progress.
